Voter Card Application: How Do I Do It Online? How Do I Register to Vote Online? The right to vote is inalienable to everybody who is an Indian citizen. If you are 18 years of age or older, you must apply for a voter ID in order to vote. You can apply in person or online for a voter identity card.
- Voter card applications are now accepting new applications. It used to be on the NVSP website, but now all the options are on the ECI website.
- There is no fee to apply for a new voter card, which is now open to everyone. On a mobile device, you may also complete the application online.
- If the relevant BLO agrees, the Election Commission will print the card after the voter’s registration. Another choice is to download an electronic voter card.
- You may apply on your mobile device without using an application form. Applying for a fresh application just requires an Aadhaar card and a picture.
Process for Applying for New Voter Cards,
- Step 1: Open the official website link by clicking it first.
- Step 2: If you already have an account on the NVSP website or the ECI website, click Login or Sign-Up. Even if you are unsure of whether you already have an account, click Sign-Up.
- Step 3: Type your cell phone number into the Mobile Number field. Any number is irrelevant. After entering the Captcha code, choose Continue.
- Step 4: Fill in your first, last, password, confirm password, and new password fields with your information. Enter 1, 2, 3, A, B, C, A, B, C, @, #,… to be one of all in the Password field. Note this. choose “Request OTP”
- Step 5: On the cellphone number you supplied before, you will get a six-digit OTP. Put that number in. Press the Verify & Submit button.
- Step 6: The message “You Have Successfully Signed Up.” will appear. Please Sign In Using Your New Credentials. It indicates that you have logged into your ECI account. Select Login.
- Step 7: Enter your mobile number under Registered Mobile No., your password under Password, the captcha code under Enter, and then click on Request OTP.
- Step 8: The cellphone number you supplied previously will receive a 6 digit OTP. Put that number in. Then, select “Verify & Login.”
- Step 9: To apply for a new voter card, click Fill Form 6 on the Home page.
The data should be filled out in a total of 12 sections. They are

- Gender
- Date of Birth details
- Present Address Details
- Disability Details

After filling out the above data, the final submission should be done.
Step 10 : The first one is State, District & Assembly Constituency / Parliamentary Constituency section

Step 11 : In Personal Details

Should be uploaded. The photo should not exceed 2MB in JPG / JPEG format. Then click on Next.
Step 12 : Relatives Details
In relation to Father / Mother / Husband / Wife / Guardians / Hijras

Enter the details and click on Next.
Enter your personal cellphone number or the aforementioned person’s mobile number to send an OTO. Send an OTP, type it in, and then verify. Pay close attention to the cellphone number you provide since it will be needed to download the card in the future and for other purposes.
Enter E-mail ID details, if any. Otherwise, there is no need. Then click on Next.
Step 14 : Enter Aadhaar Details

- Birth Certificate issued by Competent Local Body/Municipal Authority/Registrar of Births & Deaths
- Aadhaar Card
- Pan Card
- Driving License
- Certificates of Class X or Class XII issued by CBSE/ICSE/ State Education Boards, if it contain Date of Birth

The candidate must self-attest to the document, i.e. put their signature / stamp on the xerox copy. Then click on Next.
Step 17 : Present Address Details
As is currently the candidate

Enter the details and upload the certificate in JPG/JPEG/PDF format within 2MB.
Uploading any one of the following address documents is sufficient.
- Water, electricity, and gas connection Bill for that address (at least 1 year)
- Aadhaar Card
- Current passbook of a nationalized or scheduled bank or post office
- Indian Passport
- Revenue Department’s Land Owning records including Kisan Bahi
- Registered Rent Lease Deed(In case of tenant)
- Registered Sale Deed(In case of own house)
The candidate must self-attest to the document, i.e., put their signature / stamp on the xerox copy. Then click on Next.
Step 18 : Disability Details
This section can be left out if you do not become a divyang (handicapped). However, only one of the following should be selected
- Locomotive (bone related)
- Visual
- Deaf & Dumb
- Other
If there is a certificate, put Yes and upload it. Otherwise tick NO. Then click on ↓Next.
19th step: family member information
If someone in the family possesses a voter card, only they should complete this area; otherwise, it is not required. Enter the name, relationship, and voter card number of the mother’s and father’s guardians, if any, in the family, and click “Next.”
20th Step: Declaration

Enter the year, month, and length of time that you have lived there. After that, enter the location where you are presently applying and the application date, and then click “Next.”
- Type in the captcha.
Enter the Captcha code that is shown.
Step 22: Next, select Save.
Step 23: Select “Preview and Send.” Verify every detail. If it’s incorrect, use the Keep Editing option to fix it. Click Submit if everything is right.
Are you certain that you want to submit this form? (Step 24). here it is. Select Yes.
Step 25: After submitting the application, you will receive an acknowledgment number. Note that quantity. The Download Acknowledgement will allow you to download the receipt. Take a print and properly store it. You will receive your voter card number upon BLO clearance. In addition, either your BLO or the replacement card will arrive at the address you provided via mail.
How to check the status of a new voter card application?
Checking the Status of an Application:
Step 1: Once you’ve logged in to the aforementioned website, go to the home page and select the Track Application Status link.
Step 2: Where the state is not chosen, enter the Acknowledgement Number in the Reference Number field and press the Submit button.
Step 3: Use Current Status to determine the status right now.
