The establishment of Bihar School Education Board was one of the step which helped a lot in improving the standard of education in Bihar. After independence in 1951 the literacy rate in Bihar was only 13.49 and now it has the literacy rate of 63.82. It shows some improvement. the establishment of BSEB helped a lot in this improvement.
