Eligibility Criteria for WB Police SI Jobs 2024
AGE LIMIT:-
- Age of candidates must be above 20 years and below 27 years as on 1st Jan 2024.
- Relaxation in upper age limit for reserved categories as follows:-
- OBC = 3 years.
- SC/ ST = 5 years
- WB Police Departmental Candidates = 8 years
- WB Police Departmental OBC Candidates = 11 years
- WB Police Departmental SC/ ST Candidate = 13 years
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:-
- A candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or its equivalent on or before 20th Jan 2024.
LANGUAGE:-
- A candidate must be able to speak, read and write the Bengali Language.
- However, the above provision will not apply to permanent residents of hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling & Kalimpong Districts. The provisions laid down in the West Bengal Official Language Act, 1961 will apply to such candidates.
