Log in to OneDrive, Microsoft’s new cloud storage service that enables users to upload files, sync them across devices, and view them from a web browser or a mobile device. The service was formerly known as SkyDrive, but Microsoft was forced to change its name after a protracted legal battle. Fortunately, the change to “OneDrive” was successful because it not only sounds better, but it also makes more sense given that Microsoft already has other products with the “One” prefix, such as the well-liked OneNote service.
There are many file hosting services that enable you to upload and sync files to the cloud; this is undoubtedly among the best, along with other fierce rivals like Box, Dropbox, and Google Drive, the latter of which is probably the best due to its incredible features and unbelievably low prices.
Even though OneDrive is more expensive than Google Drive, it’s still a fantastic option, especially for those of you who enjoy using Microsoft’s software and services. You can store any type of file, including pictures, videos, documents, and software, and you can access them from any Windows computer or mobile device. OneDrive also seamlessly integrates with Microsoft Office programmes like Word and PowerPoint, and Office 365 subscribers can open saved documents and work together on them in real time. The service also serves as a file organiser since that is what it does; it groups files according to their kind to make it simple for you to discover them when you need them. A basic OneDrive account has a 2GB file size limit, 7GB of file storage, and supports many operating systems, including Android, iOS, Mac, and Windows.
Remember that if you already have a Microsoft Account, you won’t need to establish a new one; all you need to do is visit the OneDrive sign in page, log in with your Microsoft account details, and then enable the service.
